Born in Haryana, India, on October 24, 1981, Mallika Sherawat is one of the top newsmaker of the year 2003. Mallika Sherawat is blowing the lid on hypocricy. She is a true blue 'jatni' from Haryana. She has grown in a jat atmosphere with a countryside upbringing.
Mallika Sherawat always wanted to be an actress. And made her mind to get out of the rut and atleast try once. When she came to mumbai she knew nobody. It was tough and backbreaking. Mallika Sherawat has signed one more film with Govind Menon Kis Kiski Kismat. It's a comedy film opposite Dharmendra. And another film untitled film of Mahesh Bhatt. Mallika Sherawat's decision of coming in films is still diffcult to digest for his father. He has not forgiven her. But her brother supports her from starting. She believes his support is her strength. She came from a bejewelled prisoner in a haryana haveli and has opted for the bollywood lanes. Mallika Sherawat's real name is 'Reema Lambha'. She had changed her name because their are many reema's in industry . And sherawat is her mother's last name and mallika sound like queen so she changed her name to Mallika Sherawat.
